anderspaulsson "Marine and Wildlife Camps for public school teachers and students is amongst the main mission of PRRCFI through its excellent natural classroom that is Danjugan Island. Next year, a renowned Swedish musician, Anders Paulsson, will organize a concert in Stockholm for the education of the youth who may one day become politicians and business leaders in the coastal zone."
In celebration of the International Biodiversity Day (May 22, 2010), several marine camps for the local youth were conducted in Danjugan Island Marine Reserve and Sanctuaries throughout the month of May spearheaded by the GTZ in partnership with PRRCFI.
Danjugan is nature's perfect classroom. It has seven different types of ecosystems that students can see and experience first hand. Each of these ecosystems are interdependent to one another. The students are able to trace this connectivity and understand the basic principles of ecology. The Danjugan Island experience instills appreciation of all that is wonderful about nature, creates awareness of its great value and ignites action towards its conservation.
